Lydia McLaughlin of ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ reveals why she left show

Lydia McLaughlin won’t be seen when The Real Housewives of Orange County returns later this month on Bravo. The reality star was more of a calm and cool celebrity on the show and offered a different perspective than all the glitz and glamour paraded around by the other stars. While the contrast was interesting, it appears she left because of the flash of the show. According to WetPaint on Friday, Lydia McLaughlin felt continuing on the show would have compromised her values and she didn't want that as part of her life.

There is no doubt that The Real Housewives of Orange County definitely does focus on the money and glitz with the reality stars. Offering up a look at the lavish side of life and taking on problems of rich people, the reason to watch is to check out what those issues might be. However, it appears that’s not where Lydia McLaughlin comes from when she focuses on her community. Over the past season fans got to see her level headed antics offered up and she rarely bought into the drama of the other women.

While fans might be shocked that the star walked away from a huge paycheck to stick to her values, it’s definitely admirable. The Real Housewives of Orange County might not be the same without Lydia McLaughlin, but the fans know that she really was a gem on the show. Hopefully everyone will get to see her again on another show with a little less drama!
