The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking victims of a firearms scam in order to gather additional information against a local arms dealer who violated FFA laws.
On December 29, 2011, Las Vegas resident Kelly Carn was indicted on felony charges of theft and unlawful possession of a machine gun. Carn holds a federal firearms license and practices under the business name The Gun Vault, Inc.
Carn is accused of selling weapons and silencers to residents who knew little of the required documentation process, and then neglecting to file the legal paperwork needed for ownership. Possesion without the required paperwork is also considered a crime and Metro is hoping to locate victims of Carn's machine gun sales.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Firearms Division at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-2953, or through Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
