The Republican Party of Luzerne County will be hosting a Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Urbanski Farms in Rice Township, 3130 Church Road, conveniently located one quarter mile off the Nuangola Exit (159) on Interstate 81.
"We are expecting a nice crowd and hoping for some beautiful late summer weather," said Bill Urbanski, Luzerne County Republican Party chair. "My family is proud to host yours."
Traditional summer picnic food will be provided at this family friendly event. A donation of $10.00 per person is payable at the door.
All candidates, committee persons, elected officials, and supporters of the Republican Party are invited and welcome to attend.
"We have a number of state, county, and municipal elections coming up this November," Urbanski said. "The summer picnic is an excellent opportunity to network among your fellow Republicans and supporters in a casual atmosphere. We started the tradition last year and expect it to continue for years to come."
Guests are encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert.
"I have many fond memories of Urbanski Farms. It is a wonderful place to friends to meet," said Kingston Mayor Jim Haggerty. "It is the perfect venue for an event in Luzerne County. The location, right in the middle of the county and set on the picturesque banks of the Little Wapwallopen Creek."
