Luxury home market is one harbinger of 2013 Phoenix recovery

Last year, the luxury home market was the harbinger of the recovery of the real estate market in Phoenix. Bidding wars began and prices accelerated. Another sign that the economy is improving is the success of Homes and Lifestyle media (HLM). HLM and the Arizona Real Estate Professionals celebrated that success and expressed all of the customers, vendors and others who contributed to it at a holiday party in Scottsdale on December 12, 2013.

HLM publishes a magazine, which showcases the achievements of realtors, designers, suppliers and others who are involved in the real estate industry. Publisher Brett Benning has an ambitious vision. “I want to create the most read, respected and responsive local real estate and home modeling publication, targeting the most affluent neighborhoods in Phoenix.”

The HLM Magazine contains popular features, such makeovers; profiles the top realtors, designers and other real estate-related professionals; market snapshots and trends; and an Ask the Expert column, where suppliers from mortgage specialists to home lighting professionals provide advice on the latest developments in their industries.

In just a year’s time, HLM has expanded its market to reach over 100,000 affluent owners of single family homes, valued over $500,000, throughout the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area and over 700 distribution centers (e.g., retailers, health clubs, showrooms, medical offices, etc.).

The holiday celebration was held at the spectacular Hinkley’s Custom Lighting Factory Showroom on the Greenway-Hayden Loop in Scottsdale, and sponsored by MAK Construction, The Mitchell Group, Home Owners Financial Group, Belgard Pavers, Selling Phoenix TV, Mr. P’s Blinds, Village Health Clubs, Innovative Wine Cellar Designs, and other clients, who have been featured in the magazine this year. It was the ultimate networking event for top real estate and related professionals in Phoenix.

The luxury real estate industry has always been important to Phoenix. It provides jobs and income for many related fields, from design to construction to landscaping to home repair. If the festive mood on Thursday night is any indication, there is optimism that the industry will continue to help drive economic recovery in the Valley in 2014.
