Travel back in time for an evening ! Talk to some of the members of the founding families of Lutz, enjoy a presentation on the beginnings of the Bit and Bridle Club which today is a large exhibit at the Florida State Fair all while eating great food and listening to local high school musical groups.
All of these experiences can be found at the Centennial Concert in the Park on Saturday March 23rd from 5pm - 8pm at the Lutz Train Depot located at the corner of Highway 41 and Lutz Lake Fern Road in Lutz. This is the first in what will be a year long series of events to celebrate Lutz turning 100 years old this year. Alongside the concert will be a food truck rally featuring a wide variety of international foods from Asian cuisine to wild game.
The Steinbrenner High School Entourage kicks off the entertainment when they take the stage at 5pm. The Gaither High School Showcase Chorus will continue the evening's entertainment with their show beginning at 7pm.
The Lutz Civic Center, located across from the Train Depot will be featuring presentations from clubs and organizations that have deep roots in Lutz. The Lutz Pioneers, the Volunteer Fire Department and Boy Scout Troop 12 are just a few of the organizations that will be present to talk with you and answer any questions. On sale at the Civic Center will be 100th anniversary celebration t-shirts and train whistles.
This will be a great family event so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening in Lutz!
