Actress Lupita Nyong’o has a pretty good sense of humor. According to E! News on Feb. 21, the “12 Years a Slave” star talked about tabloid rumors, linking her romantically with actor Jared Leto, on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday.

Nyong’o told Ellen DeGeneres that the tabloid rumors is actually what has reminded her of just how much her life has changed the past year. Not only has she been nominated for multiple awards but also she has been featured in some of her favorite magazines, which has made her one of the year’s most recognizable people.

“I’ve been so busy that I haven’t actually walked by many newsstands,” she told DeGeneres. Nyong’o then explained how she tried to discreetly buy her “New York” and “Vanity Fair” covers at the airport and being recognized by the guy behind the counter.

DeGeneres then joked about how the Nyong’o has made it since she has been rumored in tabloids because if anyone knows about tabloid rumors, it is DeGeneres. When asked about the Jared Leto rumors, Nyong’o brought out her humorous side.

“Ah, but I thought Miley Cyrus broke us up. That was the last thing I heard.”

She then went on to explain how the rumors even start to take on a life of their own where even she questions their validity.

“It’s crazy, cause when I read these rumors, they’re so detailed that even I start to question whether they’re true or not. I know I’ve believed them in the past and now I guess I can’t believe anything.”

Lupita Nyong’o will have to get use to the rumors, because with her bright future, there may be much more surfacing as she becomes one of Hollywood’s big names.
