Lupillo Rivera was the first Mexican artist to fill the Universal Amphitheatre at Universal Studios Los Angeles. Now, he will bring his music to downtown Los Angeles for a live performance at Nokia Theatre on May 24, 2013.
Known as El Toro del Corrido (Corrido's Bull), in honor of a famous Mexican boxer, Rivera composed his first traditional song at the age of 15. After graduating from a Long Beach High School, CA, Rivera started working for his father, singer Pedro Rivera, owner of an independent label called Cintas Acuario. Shortly after he decided to pursue a solo career in 1993 and in 1999, Rivera hit Californian Latin charts with a song called "El Moreño". He has since been signed with Sony Discos.
Some of his most successful albums include: "And still the vintage", "Suffering alone", "Lupillo Rivera and Juan Rivera, Brothers Most Wanted "," Gabino Barrera Tijuana Sideways and bottles "and" Sold Out 1 and 2 "album which was recorded live during his presentation in 2002 at the Amphitheatre, Universal Studios Los Angeles, CA.
