Lunch profile: Snuffer's serves burgers, fries and more

An old-time favorite in Dallas, Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar brings together good food and fun in an easy-going atmosphere for lunch. While this restaurant serves dinner, it’s easy to get in and out for a quick lunch bite at Snuffer’s.

The Dallas-staple started more than 30 years ago offering all the basics. Over the years, it has expanded to serving more entrees including, chicken fried steak and specialty sandwiches.

Atmosphere: Snuffer’s seat-yourself atmosphere makes you feel right at home. There’s always a variety size tables for small and large parties. Snuffer’s friendly scene makes it great pick for casual meetings or happy hour.

Food: Snuffer’s menu is brief, but offers all the basic comfort foods and the extras that will keep you coming back for more. Snuffer’s biggest selection is its burgers. Snuffer’s offers a variety of burgers including, mushroom swiss, bacon and green chile swiss. Snuffer’s also serves the unique burgers, like pizza and blue cheese bacon. There are also several chicken sandwiches for a lighter option.

If you don’t want keep it healthier, Snuffers has chicken wraps, sandwiches and salads. Salads, like cheeseburger, taco and chicken strips, you will savor. For an exceptional flavor, the chicken strips may be a great option. Perhaps what you’ll like the most are the extra’s Snuffers offers, such as fried pickles, fried mushrooms and the famous cheddar fries. The original cheddar fries are topped with melted aged cheese on top of Idaho potato fries. Add bacon, chives and jalapenos for a complete fix.

Prices: Snuffer’s is reasonably priced with most burgers ranging from $6.49 to $8. Most salads are $8.99. Sides like fries and fried pickles, that can be easily shared, range from $1.59 to $6.99
