If you find yourself struggling to stick with your New Year’s resolution to diet, Cafe Express might be the option for you. It’s easy to forget about this long-standing lunch spot that offers salads, pastas, burgers and sandwiches.
Atmosphere: As its namesake, Cafe Express thrives as a fast option for a sit-down lunch. The bustling lunch crowd can be daunting at times, but the quick service and big dining area makes up for it. Diners order at the counter, pick a table and return to the counter when the food is ready.
Food: It’s easy to eat healthy at Cafe Express with a huge selection of salads. Cafe Express offers a solid selection of salads including, shrimp and avocado, and grilled chicken and pesto deli. For those with a tradition taste, Caesar and classic Greek salads are available.
Diners with a taste for a richer palate can order herb and spice roasted half chicken, and Mediterranean salmon. Cafe Express also has homemade soups, like creamy new potato, vegetarian black bean and chicken soup. For heavier options, burgers and pastas, such as the southwest burger and pasta bolognese, are available. If you can’t decide between all the delicious items, Cafe Express offers soup, salad and sandwich combos.
Prices range from $6.29 to $9.49 for most entrees. Kid entrees are about $4.29. A variety of vegetables are also served for $2.99.
