The Little League World Series 2009 baseball United States Championship game was in South Williamsport, PA with Chula Vista, California vs. San Antonio, Texas teams competed against each other. The only team that Chula Vista, California has lost to in this 2009 Little League World Series was this team from San Antonio, Texas. After several rain delays today, the game started at 7 pm and was televised on ESPN2.
Final score – 12-2 Chula Vista, California
The Chula Vista, California team set a new LLWS record today for most home runs at the LLWS...they are currently at 19. The previous record was set by Japan in 2003 with 15 runs.
It was a home run game tonight as Luke Ramirez had 1 home run that brought in 3 runs. Bulla Graff had two home runs, and brought in a total of 3 runs. And Andy Rios hit a home run and brought in 4 runs.
Luke Ramirez is 13 years old, 6'2" and weighs 200 pounds (see photo above). He can pitch, he can hit and he can do it all. Luke Ramirez pitched the whole game tonight, and because of this he won’t be able to pitch at all tomorrow (by regulation he must have a day off if he goes above 20 pitches in a game). But his pitching may have been what won the game.
Chula Vista, California will move on to the Little League World Series and will play Chinese Taipei (International Champions) for the Little League World Championship, tomorrow Sunday, August 30 at 3 pm EST.

luke ramirez is a killer! go california!
Congratulations Chula Visa way to represent!
Will someone check Luke's age? 6'2" 13 yrs? How many times has this kid been held back in Middle School? Does everyone remember the games in China when the 9 year old won all those golds, when she told the world she was 14? This is USA's chance for payback! Go USA!!!
There are a lot of kids that age and even bigger. We had some one our travel team and parent had to bring birth certificates because they were always asked and it was very annoying. They were U.S. citizens so there was no question as to authenticity.
No way Luke Ramirez is 13. If I were on the Texas team, I would feel like we got cheated out of the Championship game. He's a cocky son-of-a-b*tch too.
All these kids that played have show more maturity, class and respect than any major league team ever could. Funny, it takes kids to show how the game is played.
they r that best team in the world series becuz they took the championship home with them today..... score was 6-3!!!!!!! they were the best team there i swear it!!!
i am the same age as luke and i wish i could meet him!!!!!! that would beee sooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luke Ramirez Im your Biggest fan!!!! your so hottt!!! I hated that the chinese wouldn't let yo play. But they got there own taste of medicine well... Love you!

NICOLE
Luke is gorgeous!!!!!!!!! even tho ise 13 and im 14 i wood go out with him!!!! u are amazing at baseball i love u!!!!!!
There is no way that kid is 13 years old. I am a fully grown adult at 6'3 and 215 lbs. When I was 13 I was only 5'6 and 105 lbs. It is such a shame that cheating goes all the way down to little league.
Age and date of birth must be verified prior to play in the series. They are very strict about their rules. It would be impossilbe to dupe Luke's age. Someone, like a school teacher or friend, could easily reveal the truth.
Some guy, I hope you are not an adult. That would be pretty pathetic to bash a 13 y.o. for his accomplishments. Stop being a hater.
You guys made Chula Vista come alive. Can't wait for the celebration this Friday!! Way to go boys!!!
am i invited to this celebration?? jk but u are all amazing!!! have fun hope ur teachers dropped all the work u missed i know i wood!!!!
luke iss soo cute :)
ok first of all congrats on winning the world series california! also seth godfrey is freakin amazing and hot!! i loooove you seth.
Luke is 13. Trust! His parents are huge athletes too. I have known him since he was a baby. Sorry haters!
why do people question his age? if he says hes 13 then he probably is. i know 4 kids who are taller then 6'. one is in 7th grade and 3 are in 8th grade. gosh. its not that big of deal. and they are great athletes. that doesnt mean they are 18 years old. so who care if luke is 6'2. hes a great athlete. get over it! CHULA VISTAA BABYY! PVLL
that number 3 was me
