Luke Lonberger, Formula D driver and owner of Blu808 motorsports, recently put his Formula Drift car up for sale on Ebay for a buy it now price of $120,000 for 20 days.
Luke Lonberger made a name for himself early on racing karts successfully since he was 11 years old. From there he moved onto track cars where supposedly he got black flagged often for drifting the cars around corners.Ever since, moving onto Formula D was a natural progression for a driver with a penchant for drifting. And having a natural inclination for working on cars, Luke started his own shop, Blue808, located in Campbell California. After 3 or so seasons drifting around in his custom Corvette set up for drifting, Luke has big plans up his sleeves and hopes to campaign a different car or perhaps a different race series.
This drift corvette is like no other. Luckily for buyers, Luke chronicled his build on Vimeo (links below) You can easily see his master craftsmanship that he put into his builds. The heart of this beast is the Mast motorsports 416 cubic inch Corvette LS3 race motor pumping out 622 whp and 580 lb-ft of torque. And with Luke’s masterbuilt Blue808 welded cage and custom LG motorsports suspension, this Corvette is a competitive drift car ready to go.
With an asking price of $120,000 Luke seems to want to get alot for a car that ranked Luke at best 26th last Formula D season. Thankfully there’s a best offer feature so we’ll see if Luke sells his drift car afterall.
