Luke Bryan sells out the X with That's My Kind of Night Tour

Country superstar Luke Bryan entertained a sold out show at Xcel Energy Center on March 2, where he brought it all, and then some for a very beer drinking, festive, energized crowd. If there was ever an award for introductions, Bryan would easily win it for this year. His set began with a prelude to his "That's My Kind of Night," video on a big screen directly in the middle of the stage. Bryan appeared with a fiery arrow just as he does on the video, however this time he's aiming at the crowd. As the arrow disappears from the large screen, immediately on a platform that reached far out in the audience, a ring of fire appears out of nowhere. Moments later the opening music begins for "That's My Kind of Night" and a 4x4 truck emerges from the depths of the platform, and out pops Luke Bryan, and the crowd goes crazy. The trucks taillights are in sync to the beat of the music as several bright strobes flash nearby.

Bryan serenades the crowd from a top the truck as flames surround him. Unfazed, he belts out the words to "That's My Kind of Night" flawlessly. From the reaction of the crowd it appears Bryan's opening is one of the best they have ever seen, as you look around the arena every eye is fixated on Bryan's inferno. What is unique about Bryan's setup is that there really is not a single bad seat in the house with the way the platform extends into the audience. The setup allows fans to get up close and personal with the star.

Bryan has the ideal combination with fellow pals Lee Brice and newcomer Cole Swindell as opening acts; and oh let’s not forget that one common theme for the evening, rather the overall theme for the tour, Beer, partying, women and fishing. The only thing that might be better is a fish house for the trio on Lake Minnetonka. Call it wishful thinking as Bryan and company just missed the deadline that all houses had to be cleared from the lake. Perhaps next time Bryan comes up this way but let’s hope he’s not going for the catfish though.
