Luke Bryan is seeing his hard work pay off by making his way onto another list he wants to have his name on. CMT reported on July 7, 2014 that Bryan, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line have all landed on the best selling artists mid-year list. The mid-year list was released by Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen BDS covering the dates between Dec. 30, 2013 through June 29, 2014.
Bryan lands in the No. 9 position on the Top 10 best selling physical albums sold with Crash My Party selling 277,000 while Church sold 373,000 copies of The Outsiders placing his name in the No. 4 spot. Bryan is in the No. 8 spot on the best selling digital albums chart with a total of 178,000, while Church comes in the No. 5 position with 269,000. The soundtrack for “Frozen” landed in the No. 1 spot on both charts.
Bryan has had a standout year that includes being named the Top Country Artist and captured the Top Country Album win for Crash My Party at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. Bryan has also been busy keeping his fans entertained from the stage while scoring big numbers with ticket sales for his “That’s My Kind Of Night 2014 Tour.”
Bryan also made a record breaking performance during his first headlining stadium stop at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. Bryan set an all time record for country music tickets sold during his performance at Heinz Field by taking the stage to perform for over 50,000 fans.
Bryan’s ticket sales for his June 21, 2014 tour stop at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh tops both Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift’s ticket sales for Heinz Field. Lee Brice and Cole Swindell kicked things off for Bryan that night and Dierks Bentley also joined in on the party as Bryan’s special guest for his first headlining stadium show of his career.
Bryan has three more stadium dates scheduled with his tour, making stops in Boston at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 10; The Lincoln Financial Field on Aug. 15, in Philadelphia; and Soldier Field in Chicago on Aug. 31.
