Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton did another impressive and hilarious job as co-hosts for “The 49th Annual ACM Awards.” New York Daily News praised the pair they referred to as the dynamic duo on April 8, 2014. Bryan and Shelton had fun getting the crowd going on the big night.

Bryan and Shelton worked hard to recreate the selfie moment made famous by Ellen DeGeneres when she hosted “The Oscars” but the two had trouble finding other famous faces to include in the picture by pointing out that Jason Aldean wasn't famous enough and saying Tim McGraw was "too boring." Shelton said "Honestly, I think we're the biggest celebrities in the room."

The co-hosts kept the laughs going when Bryan said “Everybody in here tonight is ready to listen to some great amazing live music?” and Shelton responded by saying “And if you don't like live music then you have to go down the block to see Britney Spears.”

The jokes continued when Shelton and Bryan walked on stage dressed in Daft Punk costumes wearing black suits, gloves and metallic helmets. Shelton kept the crowd laughing when they took off the helmets and he said "How in the hell are you supposed to get lucky in that thing, I couldn't even breathe!"
