With Clone Wars getting its final season on Netflix, fans have been eagerly awaiting the debut for the new series Star Wars: Rebels. While there is still a bit of time to wait until the series finally hits TV, but thankfully Lucasfilm has continued to introduce various characters and images.
In the upcoming series Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.
The latest character they have unleashed to appease the hunger of the rabid fans comes in the form of Agent Kallus (voiced by David Oyelowo), one of the Empire’s leading enforcers and a major threat for the Ghost crew’s small band of heroes.
In addition to revealing this sure to be cool characters image, they have stepped it up even further debuting a cool behind the scenes video showcasing the character and featuring Executive Producer Dave Filoni, David Oyelowo, Director of Creative Content Strategy Carrie Beck, Art Director Kilian Plunkett, and Animation Supervisor Keith Kellogg giving a bit of insight on who this character is that you can view here now.
This is only a small piece of what will sure to be revealed with San Diego Comic Con just around the corner where Lucasfilm and Star Wars will surely have a huge presence with Rebels just around the corner and of course the in production Episode VII.
