The New York Mets today announced that they have recalled OF Lucas Duda from Buffalo.

For Duda it will be his third chance with the Mets this season. In 38 games with the Herd, Duda has averaged .302 (39-129) with eight doubles, 10 home runs and 24 RBIs.

Duda, who can play the corner outfield or first base for the Mets, has been unconscious since being activated from the DL (strained back) on May 27. In 14 games since his return, Duda has hit .413 (19-46) with four doubles, seven home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 runs.

The move was an obvious one for anybody who has seen Duda over the last week. He'll fill the roster spot vacated by 1B Nick Evans, who was designated for assignment by the Mets.
