Unfortunately for fans of LuAnn de Lesseps, they will be seeing less of her in season six of "The Real Housewives of New York City." E! Online reported on Wednesday, Jan. 8, that the countess is returning only on a part-time basis.
LuAnn won't be seen in the first three episodes of the season because she didn't finalize her contract in time before the cameras started filming for season six. Contrary to Bravo not wanting her, it seems that LuAnn couldn't make up her mind on whether she wanted to sign up for another year of drama, in any capacity. She told E! that she didn't want to return as a full-time cast member because she now wants to concentrate on her family, acting and apparel line.
"I just made the decision to step back so I can spend more time doing my things with business and my family," she said.
"It's a win-win for me. I'm still on the show. I'm still very much a part of the show, but it's not a fulltime thing. It's very engulfing when you're on it. It takes up all of your mental and physical energy," she continued.
As for Kristen Taekman, the confirmed new housewife for season six of "The Real Housewives of New York City," which premieres March 11 at 9 p.m., LuAnn provided this word of advice: "just to be yourself and listen to your inner voice and listen to what is natural to you."
Kristen Taekman has likely already received lots of advice on how to deal with being a housewife. That's because she's actually a good friend of none other than Brandi Glanville, one of the biggest stars of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Page Six reported in mid. Nov. that Kristen got the attention of Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen when she accompanied Brandi to the upfront promotions earlier in the year. She apparently made a good impression on Andy that he immediately wanted her on "RHONY."
Are you sad to learn that LuAnn de Lesseps won't be a full-time housewife this upcoming season?
