Hill, a sophomore for the Tigers has turned out some outstanding statistics after only six games into the season. Hill leads the SEC with nine touchdowns to his credit and is second in the SEC in rushing yards.
Hill had an outstanding freshman year and led the Tigers with 755 yards and 12 touchdowns during the 2012 season. He became the first freshman to lead the Tigers in rushing yards during a season since Dalton Hilliard in 1982.
Hill makes the second Tiger to join the Maxwell Award watch list, as quarterback Zach Mettenberger was added to the list previously earlier this year.
So far the watch list contains 90 nominees which will be reduced to the semi-finalist stage on October 29, 2014. Voting is made by the Maxwell Football Club, selected members of the media, NCAA sports directors and various head coaches.
