LSU senior Craig Loston is busy preparing for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Al. this week and appears to be in top shape and ready according to today's (Jan. 22) sports news.

Loston was one of the juniors on the LSU football team that decided to hang around for his senior year at LSU. This decision paid off, as Loston was one of the leaders on the team this year. Loston had an outstanding day at the Outback Bowl where he led the Tigers with six tackles and an interception, the seventh of his collegiate career, to a win of 21-14 over Iowa.

Loston began preparing for the Senior Bowl at LSU before leaving for Mobile and a week of preparation before the Senior Bowl. Standing at 6'2" and weighing in at 214 lbs., Loston will be on the South defense along with Tiger teammate Lamin Barrow for the Senior Bowl.

The NFL scouting combine will be the next stop for Loston. LSU's Pro Day will be held Feb. 18-25, 2014 on the LSU campus. Loston will be hoping to catch the eyes of NFL scouts as he has already done in prepping for the Senior Bowl. Gus Bradley, coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has been coaching the South team and has been very impressed with Loston's skills on the field.

Loston is expected to be drafted in the third round as a safety. He is ranked No. 107 overall and the No. 3 strong safety by NFLdraftscout.com.

The Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the Ladd-Pebbles Stadium in Mobile, Al. Kickoff will be at 3:00 p.m.
