LSU gymnasts rout Arkansas in 197.225 win on the road

The No. 3 LSU gymnastics team showed exactly what they were made of Friday night (Feb. 7) in Fayetteville, Ark. as they took down No. 11 Arkansas with a 197.225 to 196.275 win.

The Tigers did not get off to a demanding lead on the first rotation on the uneven bars and fell slightly behind the Arkansas razorbacks with a score of 49.25 to 49.20. After that, it was all LSU! The Tigers turned in a team score of 49.375 on vault, 49.250 on the balance beam and 49.400 on the floor.

The quest for the all-around title was tight with Arkansas's Katherine Grable edging out LSU's Rheagan Courville with a score of 39.625 to 39.60, respectively. Grable said, “I knew going into the last event that we were really close. I knew I had to hit to win.”
