The LSU gymnastics team has had an outstanding season, accomplishing a No. 3 Super Six Championship finish, national awards for gymnasts and coaches and smashing the home attendance record for the second year in a row. LSU gymnastics averaged 5,663 fans at each home meet according to LSU Sports on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Last year's attendance averaged 5,353 fans per meet.

The attendance records are recorded by GymInfo, the company that also releases the collegiate national rankings each week during the gymnastics season. This year four out of five teams in the top five were teams from the Southeastern Conference. Alabama, Georgia and Florida took the No. 2-5 positions, with Utah taking first place.

The Tiger gymnasts finished third in the Super Six Championships, posting a school record for the highest finish of the program's history. The LSU gymnastics team also put up a highest score in school history when they finished with a 198.325 at the NCAA Regionals held in Baton Rouge. This score was also the highest score in the nation the weekend of the Regional Championships. LSU gymnastics previously scored the first 198 score of the team's history on February 28, 2014, beating Missouri with a final score of 198.050.

The LSU gymnasts also had a perfect season at home, going 11-0 in the Pete Maravich Center this year. LSU coaches also captured SEC and national awards for DD Breaux for Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year honors to Jay Clark and Bob Moore, both assistant coaches for the gymnastics team. These distinguished honors were also a first for all three coaches and the gymnastics program.

The LSU gymnastics team also won first place in the national rankings for the vault this year, with Rheagan Courville taking home the individual title on the vault for the second straight year. The Tigers are coached on the vault by assistant coach Bob Moore, who has now coached gymnasts for a total of four national championship titles.

The Tigers ended the season with a No. 5 national ranking on the uneven bars. Assistant coach Jay Clark is the bar coach.
