The LSU gymnastics team earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Regional Championships, which will be held on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, La as announced on Monday, March 24, 2014.

After a disappointing third place finish at the SEC championships last Saturday, the Tigers returned to Baton Rouge and the gym to prepare for the next step in their journey to the NCAA Super Six national championship.

The Tigers have had an outstanding season, ranking No. 1 in the nation just two weeks ago and have broken several school records this season. This year marks the 30th straight invitation for the Tigers to the Regionals. LSU is looking for a repeat of last year when they won the Regionals in Columbus, OH. The LSU gymnastics team has captured a total of 12 Regional championships in school history.

Joining the Tigers for the NCAA Regionals will be No. 10 overall seed Stanford, No. 13 Auburn, Arizona, Kent State and Iowa State. The competition will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Center on the LSU campus on Saturday, April, 5, 2014.

Tickets can be purchased online and prices start at $3.00 for youth and $5.00 for adults for general admission. Reserved seating prices are $5.00 and $8.00, respectively.

Rotations have already been determined and as the top seed in the tournament, LSU will have a bye on the first rotation. They will begin on bars on the second rotation before advancing to the balance beam. LSU will have another bye on the fourth rotation before competing on the floor and finishing up on the vault.

Rheagan Courville will be on the prowl for the all-around competition, as she is ranked No. 2 nationally.

The two individual teams who place the highest in the Regionals will advance to the Super Six Championship.
