You and I are the lowest common denominators in America. Many wonder how we got nearly 17 trillion dollars in debt. Well we got there one dollar at a time, we didn’t just wake up and overnight we were 16 trillion plus dollars in the hole. You and I are the dollars and the enormous debt is symbolic of the depleted state of our union. We not government cumulatively got us in this poor state of stature.
Our forefathers intended for us to be a government, “of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” As stated by Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. The break down that led us to where we are today, a much lesser nation from our peak, where we led the world by far in almost every measure of humanity. To now on the edge of collapse by blindly trusting our elected representatives to make the right choices and do what is right for the individual not what is right for those that contribute the billions to their elections.
There is a direct correlation between the state of our country and the well being of our individual lives. When the country does well, we do well and conversely when we do well the country does well. When we the individuals who are the lowest common denominators do our part as patriot’s we form what is known to the world as, “The United States of America.” The question is what should our part be and what is it now?
Let’s start with what it is now. Most not all go to the polls and vote with no clue how things actually work, which is not the version the media presents, but the reality that escapes most. We then add to that a vote influenced by media who pedals their form of reality which in essence is brainwashing but we continue to allow it with our apathy. We add to this an educational system that doesn’t make our students the best in the world and again we settle for this by means of our apathy. And foremost on the endless list of our short comings is our straying from the strong moral compass that got us our greatness of generations past. Regardless if you believe in a deity or not it was crucially important to our forefathers’ formation of this government and still remains the core of the ruling majority here. What has changed that has led us down the wrong path is the day by day actions of us the people.
The quality of us patriots has declined and the nation is declining with us. The pioneers of this nation had the can do anything attitude and feared nothing but not pleasing God. Today’s individuals’ think that the simple task of voting defers the responsibility of governing to those we elect. The reality is they are our employees and our tax dollars pay their salaries. As employees they should answer to us and execute the tasks we assign them as any good boss would do. But we are faltering at the boss position because we again have deferred our boss position to the elite and huge corporations that influence most of the legislation that affects all of us. We are supposed to be the leaders here and government is supposed to be public servants but we, (you and I), have not done our part to insure that our employees’ are executing our wills and not the wills of others.
We must each and every day conduct our lives in a manner that promotes a role model of an ideal citizen patriot. We must make the right and just choices for ourselves, our families, and our country. We must seek the knowledge that will strengthen our ability to be good leaders and delegaters’ to our employees. We need to do this by leading by example and stepping up our individual lives in order to create a more perfect union. We need to quit being led and start leading, beginning with ourselves, our families, and our country. The turn around we seek for our nation starts at the mirror.
As individuals we are the lowest common denominators, but together cumulatively we are America.
