Synopsis…

A weak area of low pressure and associated warm front will approach from the west today with occasional rain showers and a few thunderstorms developing. Considerable cloud cover will keep temperatures below normal, but any breaks of sun could lead to warmer temperatures and increased instability to fuel thunderstorms.

Rain chances will continue into Friday and Saturday as several disturbances rotate through and upper level trough. Gradually improving conditions and warmer temperatures are then expected as the holiday weekend progresses with sunshine returning on Sunday and Monday as high pressure builds into the region.
