Low cost spay/neuter day slated for February 24 in Spokane

PetSavers, SpokAnimal and The Spokane Humane Society have connected for SCAT, a one day Cat Spay/Neuter event, on Saturday, February 24. .Adult cats and kittens 8 weeks and older can be neutered or spayed for $15.

Make an appointment as soon as you can, these days are very busy as many residents take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

All three organizations strongly advocate the spaying and neutering of cats to put a stop to overpopulation. SpokAnimal alone has a spay/neuter/vaccination/microchip clinic which executes more than 400 sterilizations per month. Their voucher program with the City of Spokane is funded by the sale of pet licenses.

These vouchers are available to residents of the unincorporated areas of Spokane County, the City of the Spokane Valley, the City of Cheney, and the Town of Millwood.

These vouchers are issued to licensed pets only’ however you may purchase the license when you obtain the voucher.

These vouchers are redeemable at the veterinarian of your choice in the above areas.

These vouchers are dollars off coupons worth: Cat Spay $45.00 Cat Neuter $27.50

These vouchers are available at the SCRAPS Shelter located at 2521 N. Flora Road in the East Valley area.

The shelter is open, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from12:00 p.n. – 5:30 p.m. and closed Wednesday, Sunday and holidays
