Low cost spay/neuter clinic hosted by Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society

A wise man once said, “You can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals” (Gandhi).  The folks at the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society (PVCHS) in Hillsdale, Indiana, believe this statement to be true. Since 1991, their mission has been to prevent and relieve the suffering of animals, as well as to educate members of the community on the importance of spaying and neutering as the key to providing happy, healthy futures for our four-legged friends.

On Monday, August 29, 2011, the PVCHS in conjunction with Pets ALIVE will be offering a low-cost spay/neuter clinic at its Hillsdale facility.  The PVCHS highly encourages anyone whose cat or dog has not already been spayed or neutered to contact them at 765-492-3540 to schedule an appointment.  This program is highly anticipated by the surrounding community and availability is limited.  Please visit the shelter’s website for more information on the spay/neuter program.  The cost for a canine spay/neuter is $60; the cost for a feline spay/neuter is $50.  One-year rabies vaccinations are available to animals undergoing surgery for an additional $6.

If you are not able to schedule a spay/neuter surgery for your pet this month, don’t despair!  PVCHS normally schedules this clinic for the last Monday of each month.  Please feel welcome to call the shelter and book your appointment for September in advance.
