Low-cost horse health care clinic in Denton on Saturday, April 16

Equine owners are invited to participate in a low-cost horse health clinic on the North Texas Fairgrounds in Denton between 8:30 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 16. The event, sponsored by the Denton County Horse Commitee (www.dentoncounty.com/horsecommittee), will be held rain or shine.

Rabies and West Nile vacciations will be offered for $10 and $21, respectively.  A complete fall shot package including Rhinopneumonitis, Influenza, Strangles and West Nile vaccinations will be available for $62. A yearly shot package made up of the fall package, plus Rabies, Tetanus, VEE, WEE and EEE, is $79. Veterinary services are provided by Absolute Equine. A nutritional analysis and body condition score is provided at no charge by D&L Farm and Home. A farrier will be on hand to provide trimming ($20) and shoeing ($75), and teeth floating is available for $100.
