A Richmond, TX, witness got out of his car for a better look at a "weird amber-colored light" and realized it was attached to a silent, black, triangle-shaped object, according to January 4, 2013, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was sitting in a car about 9:15 p.m. on December 31, 2012, when the light was first seen.
"I noticed a weird looking light up in the sky at northwest moving southeast," the witness stated. "The light was amber in color. The light seemed to fly at a very low altitude and my first thought was it might be some kind of firework."
The witness got out of the car for a better look.
"I noticed a black triangle-shaped object behind the weird light. Since it was cloudy I could not see anything above the strange object. What's even weirder was that the flying object did not make a single sound. I know it was flying very close by, but there was no sound."
The object moved away.
"I lost sight of the light and the object as it flew directly above me because it was very cloudy at that time."
No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 4, 2013. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Richmond is a city and the county seat of Fort Bend County, TX, population 11,679.

Texas is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. Texas had 38 reports in December 2012 - the 4th highest reporting state while California had 75 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

December 31, 2012, 9:15 p.m., Richmond, Fort Bend County, TX. The shape was triangle and it has a front light that was amber in color. The ufo did not make any sound. Case 45006.
It was dec 31, 2013 approximately 2115 hours and the sky was very cloudy. I was sitting in my car when i noticed a weird looking light up in the sky at northwest moving southeast. The light was amber in color. the light seem to flew at a very low altitude and my first thought was it might be some kind of firework. as i got out of my car for a better view i noticed a black triangle shape object behind the weird light. Since it was cloudy i could not see anything above the strange object. Whats even weirder was that the flying object did not make a single sound.
