Love is all you need!

There is a laundry list of crises that have either originated during the Obama tenure, or have been perpetuated by inaction. Which disaster do we tackle first, and which issue is at the top of Obama's list for a second-term agenda?

Unemployment? Amid +/- 8% jobless rates, the President does little to alleviate the situation. Rates moving three tenths downward is not a reason to celebrate, yet President Obama pointed to this number repeatedly during his 2012 campaign. This, in spite of proof that the calculation was in error. The media said nothing. Congress said nothing. Only the unemployed millions seemed capable of arriving at the truth.

The budget? Congress hasn't passed a budget in so long, it's beginning to look like the continuing resolution is an accepted means of finance. I think that when the finance company wants next month's payment on the car, I will tell them that I have passed a continuing resolution and want to borrow another ten grand so I can make payments to them.

Gun control? Which part of the Constitution does the President want to shred this time? What part of "shall not be infringed" includes the option for banning any type of weapon?

The debt? We will suspend the debt limit for three months, and allow continued borrowing. See "continuing resolution". Here's a question for the legal eagles: Will the law be retroactively broken when the suspension expires and the limit has been exceeded during the suspension?

Daily shootings? Mostly these shootings occur in schools, malls, theaters, hospitals, etc. What do these shootings have in common?
1) These are all "no firearms allowed" zones.
2) They constitute large concentrations of unarmed, helpless victims.
3) The shooters always surrender or commit suicide at the first instance of armed resistance.
4) When assault weapons are not available, they use either multiple weapons or multiple ammo clips.
5) Many have shown ineptitude in the use of their weapon of choice as evidenced by jamming of the weapon.
6) Shooters have mostly been teens from broken homes.

My suggestion for the future of America:

Personal responsibility... America has become a nation of excuses!

The House GOP can't do anything without Senate Democrat concurrence. So, instead of standing firm in the convictions that elected them, the GOP solution is surrender early and often.

Parents desert their children because their spouse doesn't excite them anymore, or because they want to be gay, or because they just don't want to be married anymore. Divorce happens for all the wrong reasons. The only biblical excuse for divorce is adultery, and even then was only allowed because Jews complained a lot. Children are left to grow into incomplete adults. They cry out for attention, but their mothers must work because the father is missing. Or, if the father is there, the mother is gone. Or, there are two of a kind, both gay. It's no wonder kids are picking up the nearest gun and going nuts!

Voters are having a hard time, so they vote for whomever promises to help them with the most free stuff. Never mind that these candidates are often the ones that got them into their current state. Never mind that the country is broke. Never mind that the country's biggest enemy is a majority stockholder in the nation's debt.

We can't afford entitlements! We must keep our families together for the sake of the kids! We must flush Congress and start over! We must protect the Constitution and install armed guards in our schools! We must love each other! We must love the Lord!

It's been said that when a man is young, if he is not a Democrat, then he has no heart. But when he is older, if he is not a Republican, then he has no sense. Jeff Waller adds to these addages, this: If a party member remains such when either of the parties begin to so closely resemble each other...
