"Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" debuts in September and it looks like their star, Ray J, settled his court case just in time. Ray J originally was charged with sexual battery, vandalism, battery on a police office and resisting arrest. According to the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, Ray J was able to plea out of everything but a trespassing charge.
Ray J's legal drama all stems from a May 30 incident at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel bar. According to reports, a woman at the bar claims that Ray J groped her. When he was asked to leave the bar, he refused. Ray J then made his way to the valet area and is said to have become belligerent with the valets. After his arrest, Ray J even kicked out one of the windows on the police with his feet. The police report says that he spat at one of the officers.
Ray J contends that he kicked out the window because he was feeling claustrophobic. As far as the other charges, Ray J's attorney is some kind of miracle worker because everything got dropped except for a trespassing charge due to his refusal to leave the premises after being asked.
Ray J's very minimal punishment has been reported as three years probation and 50 hours of community service. He plead no contest to the trespassing charge and all others were dropped. In addition, he has been ordered to receive alcohol treatment and anger management help. Ray J also isn't allowed in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel anymore and he has to pay for replacement of the police car window that he kicked out.
If Ray J's behavior is any indication of what's in store for the very first season of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood," fans of the show are in for quite a ride. The premiere season begins on Monday, September 18 at 8 p.m. EST.
