“Blessed is the man who endures temptation: for then he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”(James 1:12)

Love is a word that can be misunderstood. Most people base love from family background and experiences. It has been taught by the words and actions of others. The lack of the positive or negative affirmations in words and actions can communicate the absence of love. Love is more than spitting the words out of the mouth. It must be proven.

God has proven His love for the world by sending Jesus. Jesus was sent for the purpose of saving mankind from sin and death. He accomplished it because of love. Believers’ have received this salvation and has accepted God’s love. The response is to return love to God and endure through life even temptations. There is a reward of life as a promise from the Lord.

Challenge: Believers on this Valentine’s Day, allow the Holy Spirit to remind you of the love of God found in your salvation! Endure temptation and always return God’s love! Amen!
