If you have ever attended a wedding you have heard the scripture in 1st Corinthians 13 love is; and many of us have heard these so often that we mouth them each time we hear them.
But there are a multitude of scriptures about love. One in particular that we often overlook is; love covers. If we think of love in this way, we might see it for what it truly is: a covering, covering by God of our sin.
His blood the ultimate covering, on doorposts, on our hearts...
A covering of our faults and indiscretions by friends, family, rather than an announcement of our mistakes. A covering that desires to see us make better choices, mend fences.
Love is a covering, it covers a multitude of sins.
