Love and the Nightingales at Little Colonel

A family visit is a lot more than what it seems for The Nightingales, a Little Colonel show that will continue this weekend.

The Nightingales will take place on Dec. 12, 13, and 14 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee show will happen on Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m. All performances will go on at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mount Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.

Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 and over, and $12 for students. Due to limited seating, reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 502-588-1557. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Keep in mind Little Colonel Playhouse does not accept credit cards.

The Nighingales are a theatrical family. Jack is a cabaret star who performs with Maggie, a lady who constantly speaks of her romantic failures. Jack's parents, Charlie and Beatrice, old Music Hall Stars, make a family visit.

For Beatrice, however, this is more than a family visit. It's a ploy to escape to France to meet her liaison. Will anyone ever be happy in love?
