They say New York is the city to fall in love in. I say it’s Denver. Who wouldn’t trade the concrete jungle, pretzel cart corners, late night Chinese and Wall Street bustle for the serenity of Colorado? When the sun sets over the dramatic mountainous skies, you just have to wonder–could there be a better setting against which our Denver skyline boasts it’s silhouette?

So it’s the month of love and there is no better reason to get lost in the city we call home. Lost in the sweet treats, patio fires, snowflakes and artistic adventures. Lost in the present, as though we just can’t get enough; because we can’t.

Denver lets hear it for these February musts:

February 2nd – Catch the last performance of Mamma Mia! at the Denver Center for Performing Arts.

February 8th – Be entertained by dancers from “Dancing with the Stars”, “So You Think You Can Dance” and “American Idol” at Ballroom with a Twist at the Lincoln Center.

February 9th – Don’t miss the last day of the Passport to Paris exhibit at the Denver Art Museum.

February 10th – Take in the beauty at the Denver Botanic Gardens Orchid Showcase through February 24th.

February 11th – Make your own Valentine’s Chocolates at the All Things Chocolate – The Food of Gods class at The Seasoned Chef Cooking School.

February 12th – Learn more about chocolate at the Active Minds presentation titled irresistibly: Chocolate.

February 13th – Laugh about love at Comedy Works’ Valentine’s Weekend with Mark Klein through February 15th.

February 14th – Celebrate the sweet melodies of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra at their presentation of Young Love.

February 15th – Experience what’s been called “one of the coolest film festivals in the world”, the Boulder International Film Festival through February 16th.

February 16th – Catch the last night of Love and Lust presented by the Colorado Symphony at Boettcher Concert Hall.

February 17th – Celebrate the sexy side of love at Naughty Pierre’s Burlesque & Comedy Extravaganza at Lannie's Clock Tower Cabaret through February 20th.

February 18th – Loose yourself in the classic fairytale, Cinderella, presented by Colorado Ballet at Ellie Caulkins Opera House through February 23rd.

February 19th – Skate the evening away on The Pond at Southlands Shopping Center through March 1st.

February 20th – Ladies, take a night out and laugh out loud at Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women at the Garner Galleria Theatre.
