Love and infidelity: Tiger Woods is back in the game

August 3, 2011:  After one of the most sensational infidelity scandals in the celebrity world, Tiger Woods is back in the game. This time he will be chasing birdies instead of “babes.” It has been months since Woods crashed his SUV; Elin Nordegren went ballistic; and  a list of mistresses surfaced. Today the Bleacher Report reminded us that Woods is still facing repercussions from his love and marriage mess. Apparently friend and tennis pro Roger Federer has distanced himself from Woods as he and his wife cozy up to Elin. If Woods is feeling lonely, will Momma seek out someone to love from Thailand, thus making her own wish come true?

As for the Federers choosing side, it is not an unusual happening when couples divorce. The report noted: “While he still gains respect on the golf course (although not as much as he used to), he has seen several personal relationships go down the tubes...You can add tennis great Roger Federer to that list.” Tiger Woods: Golf Star's Broken Friendship with Federer Exemplifies His Demise

A bit of praise on a lonely road with gal pal gone

The news lately for Tiger Woods has not been happy. He is losing money, sponsors, and his much touted young girlfriend has been out of sight since April. He had been seeing  22-year-old Alyse Lahti Johnston from Cleveland, Ohio. Johnston's biological father is former St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Jeff Lahti. And her step-father, an AIG executive, lived next door to Woods in Windermere, Fla.

Despite what appear to have been irreversible losses for Tiger Woods, today he did receive praise from Darren Clarke who thinks he will shine again according to ESPN.

“Clarke and Woods, who have been close friends for a number of years, have been paired together for the opening two rounds at Firestone Country Club, as Woods looks to make his comeback from a serious knee injury ahead of next week's USPGA Championship - the final major of 2011." Clarke tips 'great friend' Tiger to contend at Firestone

‎But the good news is that he IS being welcomed into the golf world with much expectation and anticipation.

Love mess in Elin’s love nest

In April it looked as if Woods was moving on with his game and his love life. He decided to sell his yacht Privacy, as it was no longer his private hideaway. It had been splashed all over the media.  It was a part of his past with Elin and his mistresses.  So it seems that Woods is suffering some setback.

Ironically while his love life took a dive, Elin has been in the news with a new lover,Jaime Dingman.  But he also happens to have been a lover of Tiger’s famed mistress, Rachel Uchitel.  Oh, what a tangled web we weave.

A win and an arranged marriage?

What's next? Woods will focus on his game, gain some respect, and in a quiet way a new love will surface.  If Mama Woods has her way, she will arrange a marriage between her son and a young bride from her native Thailand, which has always been her wish.

Back in 1997 The San Jose Mercury Times reported that "Another debate centers on whether Woods' mother had announced that any candidate for the post of Mrs. Tiger Woods preferably would be Thai and would have to sign a prenuptial agreement.

"I will marry whomever I fall in love with," Woods said when the question came up Thursday. Tiger Woods

But there have long been reports of Kultida's wish for her son to return to his roots and her unhappiness with his marriage to Elin. She may have even facilitated her son's relationship with Rachel Uchitel. (See suggested reading.)
