“You're a f***ing ho. You got a monster with you thinking you're bad!”–Erica Mena, referring to Somaya Reece as she yells at Kimbella Vanderhee on “Love and Hip Hop” season 2.
If you’re new to “Love and Hip Hop” season 2, and your first interaction with the show was Monday night’s episode, you likely walked away thinking that the women of this show are the most uncivilized ladies on reality television.

Let’s start with the positive though, as “Love and Hip Hop” has women like Olivia and Emily—two soft-spoken ladies who are driven in very different ways. Olivia, for example, is dying to finally make it in the music biz, while Emily battles her own heart when it comes to moving on with her life—or back in with Fabolous.
And then there’s that weekly “Love and Hip Hop” craziness—the fighting, back-stabbing, and sometimes gut-wrenching moments that either disgust you or damn near make you stand up and cheer as if you’re watching an NFL playoff game.
This past episode revolved around two women who weren’t even cast members last year: Yandy and Erica. Yandy is dealing with her lingering issues with Chrissy (and really, her problem with Jim Jones not standing up to his lady), while Erica put Kimbella on blast in an exclusive interview with VIBE magazine.
That eventually led to Kimbella crashing Erica’s party, confronting her with Somaya in tow, and eventually yelling and screaming to the point that she had to be restrained.
And was it me, or did anyone else see Kimbella yank gum out of her mouth and hurl it at Erica?
See, this is the kind of high brow entertainment that “Love and Hip Hop” brings us every week. And you better enjoy it, as next week is the season 2 finale.
Below, check out some of the quotes that most stood out to me from last night’s episode:
- “My feelings are stuck in the middle ... I like Chrissy, I like Yandy, I don't want to see them fight.” –Olivia.
- “WTF. If we're friends, holla at me.” –Chrissy.
- “Hitler thought he was right.” –Yandy, who indirectly compared Chrissy to Hitler.
- “I'm a fat lady in a skinny b****’s skin.” –Mama Jones to Yandy.
- “I left because there was no respect in our relationship. There were no boundaries.” –Emily explaining why she walked away from Fabolous.
- “You're a f***ing monster.” –Erica to Somaya.
- “You want to beat me so bad!” –Kimbella, shouting at Erica.
- “You brought a sumo wrestler to back you up.” -Erica
