On Thursday, February 16th, TV personalities, recording artists and entertainment industry executives came out to support jeweler to the stars Lauren Russell and celebrate the launch of her LYON Fine Jewelry 2012 Collection and her Equality Bracelet to benefit the non-profit Friendfactor.
Partygoers experienced an evening of Luxury, Beauty, Style and Love at famed ink shop Freak Chic and the adjoining Tuff Sissy lifestyle store and event space. DJ Becka Diamond played 80’s, rock and dance tunes while guests checked out the stunning and sexy 2012 LYON Fine Jewelry collection and the Equality Bracelets line modeled by two beautiful women. Sara Bettencourt, Whitney Mixter and Rachel Rodriguez of Showtime’s hit TV show, “The Real L Word”, were all seen rocking their Equality Bracelets in support of Friendfactor’s noble work to secure equal rights for the LGBT community.
LYON Fine Jewelry has four different Equality Bracelets in the collection. Each bracelet is aptly named after a city that has been instrumental in the gay rights movement. Guests enjoyed divine desserts by Cake Pops LA who treated everyone to their “Equality Cake Pops” and their Blue Velvet Cake Pops (covered in white chocolate with candy flakes), which were a standout! Amanda Ormerod of Bootleg Chocolates dazzled guests with her bite size gourmet chocolate creations, which partygoers were raving about. The Sabra cart was a hit with guests enjoying their grab n go Hummus snack packs complete with roasted garlic hummus and pretzel crisps. Many guests were seen leaving the party with a snack pack to go so they could enjoy their Sabra fix on the drive home. popchips unveiled their new sweet potato flavor to rave reviews. Party hostess Lauren Russell was seen snacking on popchips’ chili lime flavor all night. Celebrity guests Kate Linder, Betsey Russell, Vincent Spano and Anjulie stayed hydrated with smartwater® served from a sleek teardrop bar as they checked out the artwork at Tuff Sissy and admired the gorgeous eco chic floral designs created by Celadon & Celery especially for LYON Fine Jewelry’s event.
The Sue Devitt Beauty team was onsite giving glam makeovers to guests who then checked out how gorgeous they looked in Vanity Girl Hollywood’s custom black vanity mirror. Vanity Girl Hollywood added a touch of retro Hollywood glamour into the mix. All of the ladies were excited when they got to take home shimmery lip gloss and petit E-Z Eye Roller Ball Eye Shadow from Sue Devitt Beauty and Rock Your Hair’s Bombshell Big Hair Powder by hair stylist guru Michael O’Rourke. Partygoers were seen toting around their hot pink Rock Your Hair gift bags.
Snap Boogie, the incredibly gifted break dancer seen on “America’s Got Talent” busted out some hot moves for the cameras as director Cristian “Koko” Stambuk filmed him for LYON Fine Jewelry and 36 Elephant’s EQUALITY PSA Campaign. Rising star Daniel Joseph Baker who sang his way into the hearts of American viewers on “America’s Got Talent” last season, did his best Madonna “Vogue” pose impression for the EQUALITY PSA Campaign.
LYON Fine Jewelry CEO Lauren Russell (who was styled in a gorgeous black suit by couture designer Lloyd Klein), and a handful of friends, which included Mollie Thomas (the first openly gay woman to run for the Miss California crown) and Justin Howard (Bootleg Chocolates) pledged their eternal support to the Equality movement by getting inked with equal sign tattoos during the party at Freak Chic. These trendsetters are sure to have jump started the next fashionable way to show your support for Equality.
Partygoers sipped on delicious custom cocktails created by Philip Delacruz and the team at DAMA Tequila. DAMA Tequila is the world’s first luxury tequila created by women for women and it was the perfect compliment to LYON Fine Jewelry’s party.
Guests also enjoyed Peace Iced Tea and Hubert’s Raspberry Lemonade courtesy of Hansens' and intelligent energy drinks provided by Vuka.
