Since pop princess Demi Lovato’s last concert at the Nassau Coliseum in June 2009, the former Disney doll has conquered rehab, had a hit single “Skyscraper” and experienced the passing of her father. Now, Lovato is back with a new concert tour. Coliseum goers and loyal Lovatics, get ready.
Perhaps you’ve seen Demi Lovato on Fox’s The X-Factor, or Glee? Plus, she still appears in Disney Channel reruns. Oh yeah, then there is her recording career. In May, she released her fourth album, Demi. Her latest single is titled “Neon Lights,” which is also the name of the upcoming tour. Are you tired yet, because Lovato isn’t?
The Neon Lights Tour
Lovato’s tour begins Feb. 9, 2014 in Vancouver, BC and ends Mar. 30, 2014 in Indianapolis, 27 concerts in all. She’ll be at the Coliseum on Mar. 11.
How is she going to maintain her television appearances while touring?
According to an article by Amy Sciarretto published Sept. 30, 2013 on popcrush.com, “Demi Lovato Announces Neon Lights Tour,” the singer plans to “wrap her stints on Fox’s ‘Glee ‘ and ‘X Factor‘ this fall…”
When Lovato performed at the Nassau Coliseum on June 24, 2009, she delivered a brief but poignant version of Gerry Goffin, Carole King and Jerry Wexler’s “(You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman,” made famous by Aretha Franklin. Check out a clip from the show on YouTube.
Will Lovato perform “(You Make Me Feel) Like A Natural Woman” the next time she’s at the Coliseum? It’s hard to say. But it probably doesn’t matter to Coliseum goers and Lovatics as long as they get to spend time with their beloved Demi.
