The Louvre, arguably the world’s most famous museum, now has an iPhone app that has reached inside the top ten app downloads on iTunes.  It is on sale in the iTunes store for free and is a good download for people who appreciate art.

The Musee de Louvre app gives you some of the features of the real Louvre on your iPhone or iPod Touch.  The Louvre app features brief video segments on several famous rooms, sculptures, and portraits throughout the museum including the “Mona Lisa.”  The Louvre app also features pictures and short descriptions on a lot of the Louvre’s extensive collection.  Included are the “Mona Lisa,” “Code of Hammurabi,” “The Coronation of Napoleon,” and many more.

However, this is a app anyone who appreciates art would want
