Mayweather was silent because:
1: There was a legaal injunction banning either fighter or promoter from discussing the fight in the media
2: There was never any real offer or deal to discuss.
It's pretty obvious to me. Arum wanted out of negociations, so just started breaking the legal injunction, and making up fake "deadlines"
