(Louisville, KY)– Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory recently announced that its factory is now producing bats year round on Saturdays, and for the first time ever also producing bats during tours on Sundays and holidays. To celebrate the announcement and encourage visitors to view the weekend bat production, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory will offer free admission to all visitors on Sunday, January 23.
“This will be our first winter ever with Saturday bat production and we’re thrilled that the factory is now also producing bats on Sundays and holidays,” said Anne Jewell, Executive Director of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. “Watching production of the bats is such a special and exciting experience. Now every visitor who tours our museum and factory will get to see bats being made, regardless of the day or time that they’re here,” she said.
The announcement comes after a team from the factory coordinated logistics and scheduling to ensure that all museum visitors would be able to watch bats being made in the factory. As a result of the positive change, guests are now guaranteed to see bat production on every tour, seven days a week.
The Louisville community has always been a vital part of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory’s success because of the visitors and out‐of‐town guests that locals bring to tour the factory, visit the museum and check out the World’s Biggest Bat.
To show its appreciation to the community and celebrate its first winter with weekend bat production, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory will offer free admission on Sunday, January 23.
