Nicole Hedlund, a frustrated pastry chef who owns the Grande Finale bakery in Louisville, got tired of people refusing to try her fruitcake samples, so she's taking it to the streets.
She admits many people make bad fruitcake, but insists that when done right, it can be a tasty holiday treat. She thinks she's come up with a pretty good one, and thinks if people try it, they'll change their minds. Unfortunately, tasting fruitcake is somewhat akin to getting caught tapping your foot to disco.
So, the only answer is to march up downtown Louisville in support of the beleagured foodstuff.
You can see a slideshow of the pro-fruitcake rally here.
