Louisville man arrested for shoplifting at new Cabela's store (Photos)

According to WDRB.com, a Louisville man was arrested on April 15 after being caught shoplifting at Louisville's brand new Cabela's sporting goods store. The article says 38-year-old Rodney Edford walked into Cabela's and proceeded to hide $600 worth of merchandise, then tried to walk out of the store with it. WDRB News reports that this wasn't Edford first shoplifting trip at Cabela's. An arrest report for Edford says he allegedly stole an additional $530 worth of merchandise on Saturday, April 13, which was just three days after the store opened to the public.

Additionally, WDRB.com reports that Edford allegedly admitted to the crime when questioned by the police, and is currently charged with theft.

The new 88,000-square-foot Louisville Cabela's, which is located at 5100 Norton HealthCare Blvd. Louisville, Kentucky 40214 is the first of its kind here in Louisville, Kentucky. The sporting goods giant just celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
