Louisiana Airman dies in Southwest Asia

Today, the Department of Defense and Air Force Times released information regarding the death of an Air Force Reservist who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom at an undisclosed base in Southwest Asia. The specific country was not officially released.

The Department of Defense’s news release said Tech. Sgt. Larry D. Bunn, 43, of Bossier City, La., died March 7, 2013, as a result of a “non-combat incident” however, a spokesperson for the Airman’s bomb wing stated that Bunn died of a heart attack, “unrelated to combat.”

Bunn was assigned to the 307th Maintenance Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, La.

Tech. Sgt. Bunn’s remains arrived at Dover Air Force Base yesterday.

His family stated that funeral arrangements are not complete but that services will be held in Bossier City, La.
