C.K. and his production company, Pig Newton, will be developing and producing television pilots and series for FX Networks. The actor will have the option to write or direct these shows, but it will not, in any way, affect his own show, “Louie.”
“Working with Louis C.K. has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career,” said FX CEO John Landgraf. “I am thrilled that our relationship with Louis and Blair Breard will continue for the foreseeable future through this deal with FXP.”
Landgraf also expressed his excitement to see who C.K. would bring into his new projects, stating that many artists want to work with C.K; he also stated he cannot wait to see the new content that will be made for the network.
Breard, who is an executive producer for “Louie”, will also be serving as a producer or executive producer for Pig Newton projects, while C.K. will serve as an executive producer.
The fourth season of “Louie” will premiere in May 2014 on FX.
