Director David O. Russell (“The Fighter”) must be feeling quite the high right now after his film “Silver Linings Playbook” received all those Oscar nominations, but that isn't stopping him from preparing his next Oscar worthy film.
His next project, formerly titled “American Bullsh*t,” is based on the real-life undercover sting operation set up in the 1980s by a con artist working for the FBI who rooted out corruption in Congress.
The film already has huge names attached like: Christian Bale (“Reign of Fire”), Bradley Cooper (“Silver Linings Playbook”), Jeremy Renner (“Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters”), and Amy Adams (“Man of Steel”).
According to THR today, Emmy winner Louis C.K. is in talks to join the impressive ensemble, and it is said to be an important role.
It is good to see him getting involved in film since his FX hit show “Louie” isn’t returning until 2014, and I hope he is able to go toe to toe with such powerful and impressive actors.
