Lou Neglia is bringing one of the top MMA promotions on the East Coast back to Atlantic City with Ring of Combat 48. Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat 48 is taking place at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, NJ on May 16th, and will be headlined by a ROC Heavyweight Title tilt. ROC Heavyweight Champion "Brutal" Brendan Barrett will be looking to defend his title against undefeated prospect Justin Woods. The co-main event is a ROC Lightweight Title match up between Ring of Combat Lightweight Champion Chris Wade and undefeated submission specialist Frankie Perez.

Ring of Combat Heavyweight Champion "Brutal" Brendan Barrett hold a Professional MMA record of 9-6, and is currently on a 5-fight win streak. Four of Barret's last five victories came via first round finish due to punches (3 TKO's, 1 Submission). Barret has faced many tough opponents including UFC veterans Tim Boetsch, Costas Philippou, and TUF 1 contestant Alex Schoenauer. Barrett is hoping to defend his Heavyweight strap against undefeated Heavyweight prospect Justin Woods.

Justin Woods holds an unblemished Professional MMA record of 4-0. Woods is an Indiana native and is only 24 years of age. All of Woods's victories came by way of first round TKO or Knockout. His quickest victory coming at 10 seconds of the first round, with his longest win taking just 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Barrett is returning back to the MMA cage for the first time in 8 months, while Woods has had 7 months away from the cage. Both men have a history of finishing their fights, so don't blink when the bell rings for this one.

Ring of Combat Lightweight Champ Chris Wade is a 6 time Ring of Combat veteran and has also fought for World Series of Fighting. Wade is coming off an impressive 2nd Round Rear-Naked Choke Submission victory over Pat DeFranco at Ring of Combat 47 back in January. Wade's opponent, Frankie Perez is undefeated at 8-0, and has finished 6 of his fights. Perez holds a TKO finish, and 5 Submission finishes including 4 within the first round. Wade will be looking to defend his ROC Lightweight Title, while Perez will be looking to keep his undefeated streak alive so this should be a very interesting match up to say the least.

Along with the Chris Wade (6-1) vs. Frankie Perez (8-0) match up, many other top names are featured on this stacked card including Revolution Academy product Matt "Razor Sharp" Rizzo vs. Jimmy Grant and James Jenkins vs. Terrell Hobbs.
