Lotus embraces Grand Rapids on 2013 tour

Back in 1999 a band named Lotus formed. Fast forward 14 years later, Lotus has reached unparalleled heights with their fan base, popularity and music in the United States.

Lotus is considered a multi-genre band. Fans are always striving to figure out how to describe the band's one of a kind musical sound. Jesse Miller, bass and sampler player for Lotus, said the best way to describe the sound that Lotus creates is to experience it first hand. "The best way to describe our sound is to simply attend a show. I think that is how most of our fans come to be, is that they hear about someone attending a show and then they attend...just go out and experience it."

After a multiple day New Year's Eve run, the band is ready to hit the road for 2013. Fans in the Michigan area will get to experience Lotus in multiple venues, including in Grand Rapids at the Intersection. "We have a long history with Grand Rapids, we went to school in northern Indiana and often played shows up in Grand Rapids and we are excited to head back soon and see all of our fans again," said Miller.

Fans who are attending the tour, might be hearing new tracks off of Lotus' upcoming album, Build, which is available on February 19, 2013 but that is just the start for Lotus in 2013. "You should plan on seeing and hearing a lot of Lotus coming up this year," said Miller.

Lotus will be playing the Intersection in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, February 5th with special guest Moon Hooch. For ticket information click here.
