In the weeks since its release, Grand Theft Auto V has set numerous console records due to the title’s release on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. According to a report by PC Gamer on Oct 8, however, Intel Director of Marketing Chris R. Silva has revealed that a PC version of the game didn’t launch alongside the console editions thanks to the deep pockets of Microsoft and Sony.
The Intel executive claims that, “Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive” in regards to the lack of a PC release of GTA 5. Intel, who is best known as a leading producer of computer processors, believes that a PC version of the popular game is coming. Furthermore, Silva states that the release of a PC edition won’t take long.
Grand Theft Auto V is available now only on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. While Rockstar Games has give no official word on a PC version of the game, the fact that all other GTA titles have eventually released on PC leaves the possibility of a PC release at a high chance.
