Lots of entertainment options at Universal Orlando's new Cabana Bay Resort

Entertainment options at Cabana Bay Resort.

Cabana Bay Resort is the newest onsite hotel at Universal Orlando Resort, which means that two theme parks are literally within walking distance. Most guests who stay here will undoubtedly be visiting the parks, but the hotel itself is a destination. Click the slideshow accompanying this article to see some of the many entertainment options you can enjoy without ever leaving the hotel grounds.

Since it's in Florida, Cabana Bay Resort of course has a huge, refreshing swimming pool. High dives aren't a thing anymore due to liability concerns, but there's a diving board style fountain and water slide to add a touch of fun.

Inside, there's a massive game room, as well as the Galaxy Bowling Alley. It's great fun to bowl a few games, and you can enjoy full service dining inside the bowling alley too. Want to go shopping? The Universal Gift Shop has a selection of merchandise from the parks, as well as Cabana Bay-themed goodies like shirts, hats, and retro candy.

If you eat a little too much of that candy or go a little crazy in the food court, head to the Jack LaLanne fitness center. Jack may be retro, but this exercise room is full of all the latest equipment.

At night, head out to the fire pit to hang out in the warm, flickering glow. You can even buy a smores kit to cook yourself up a treat.
